To close the festival, we are truly proud to announce the NAB’UBOMI SHORT FILMS programme. The Nab’Ubomi Filmmaking Competition takes place in schools in the Eastern Cape region of South Africa, where children are challenged to write short narrative screenplays and then practice ‘pitching’ their film concepts. Schools then choose their top film concepts, and the most promising writers are given the opportunity to direct their own films. Screening here will be the award winners for Best Film, Best Director, and the Audience Award films from the previous two competitions. Take this opportunity to see rising South African filmmaking talent in this extraordinary selection of films.
