JAVIER HIRSCHFELDlow

About the artist:

Javier Hirschfeld is a Malaga-born artist. His tool is photography and his artistic discourse comes from the cultural and aesthetic syncretism between the Western history of art and the African aesthetics and traditions.

He is also curator and agent of Omar Victor Diop in Spain. Hirschfeld met Diop while shooting Mas Morena. He has worked with the Senegalese photographer for the recent artistic residence in La Termica.

Hirschfeld has lived 8 years in the UK where he has worked as the Picture Editor for the BBC Homepage. He has also studied History of Art in Birbeck University.
