For our third event on Monday 12th November, we present a documentary from former Deputy Director of the Cambridge African Film Festival, Sarah Ping Nie Jones. The deeply personal UMBILICAL CORDS is inspired by the filmmaker’s own experiences, and delicately and beautifully untangles the bonds and binds of mother-daughter relationships, traveling from South Africa to the UK, Argentina, and Lesotho following six stories. We are pleased to welcome director Sarah Ping Nie Jones to a Q&A following the screening.
